Dada Falafel Berlin Mitte

Dada Falafel BerlinYou might not think that Falafel is anything to get excited about. You’ve had one falafel, you’ve had them all, right? Wrong!

You haven’t eaten falafel unless you’ve been to Dada (or lived in Lebanon for half your life). Their food is great, delicately spiced with coriander, turmeric and cumin. This makes it deliciously fragrant. If you want hot, they also provide some really spicy hot sauce, but that would be overkill on food as aromatic as this. It is in a great location, just across the road from the famous Berlin squat Tachles and it is just up the road from the Synagogue on Oraniemburger strasse, so if you’re doing a little Jewish tour of Berlin, this is a great place to stop for a (non-kosher) snack. It is worth stopping at. Quite a few people have suggested that this is not just the best falafel in Berlin, it may be the best in the world. Don’t believe me? Try it yourself and let us know.

And if you’d like to read an entertaining account of trying to get good humus in Berlin by a real humus guru, then you have to read this account that includes eating in a place under a poster of Hassan Nasrallah.
