Onkel Albert

Onkel Albert is a great little Kindercafe in a conveniently cool location, just a couple of blocks from the hip shops and restaurants of trendy Kastanienallee, is Onkel Albert-another of my favourite Kindercafes. Despite being rather awkwardly designed on 3 levels with a second hand clothing shop in the basement, a little serving area and a substantial play area on the upper level, it is a pleasant space with a friendly atmosphere. It has comfy couches from which you can keep an eye on activities in the play areas and they make some decent sandwiches. In my view it is better suited to mums and younger babies – my older son starts to feel a bit cooped up and bored after a while.
